I've always liked anything to do with Final Fantasy, but I heard this was a weak series. I read the review on here, It doesn't look all that good. What's your opinion on this, which weighs out more, the good or the bad? How's the story, the characters, and the animation in your opinion? What do you hardcore FF fans think? Thanks

If your a a big fan of final fantasy, witch I am, its an OK series, the characters could be better, the plot reminds me of an old scooby doo episode, it has nothing to do with any FF games, i do not thnk u should buy it, it was a real diapointment for me ( i should of known when i found it at best buy for 5 dollars...) but this is only my opioion, buy at you own risk man.

It lacks familiarity with Final Fantasy aside from the name. The characters are pretty weak, animation is give and take and some of the monsters they battler are almost laughable. Now, I usually watch dubs and prefer dubs but a few of the VA's in the english version were god awful. The japanese VA's weren't awful, but they weren't really good either. To me, the whole series just seemed to drip of mediocrity.

From what I remember a good chunk of the animation is done in Korea. There seems to be a large ratio of CG in Korean hired anime. For me this is either a hit or a miss. Either these series are rather ultra-hip and trendy with poor CG like BAST of Syndrome, or Geisters, or else they are dark and ropey like Reign or Yukikaze. I tend to like the later, but unfortunately FFU is more like the former.

I'm a big FF fan since back on NES, but I couldn't even get through the first disk. The high part for me was getting to hear the familiar music that plays when you win a battle in the game. The animation and art style are both weak, and the story wasn't going any where that I could see. It just didn't really strike a chord with me whatsoever. Maybe I'll eventually watch it one day, but with so many quality new releases out now, why waste your time?

I watched the first 13 episodes i believe. It was a decent series but got really old fast. It is really childish, the minions never die. Not to mention that th animation is nowhere near top notch. But if you are a FF fan (which im not) then you might like it.
(I was still entertained)

I've just seen the first episode, but I thought it fairly sucked. Then animation wasn't that great, the voice acting left much to be desired and the dialogue was just horredously cheesey.
I don't think you would like it, wheather you're an FF fan or not.
...imo, of course

Actually, some minions DO die Fungus in ep 11, Pist in 23 or 24, Oscha in 25, and Herba at some other point The show is kind of childish, but there are some really inventive CG and other graphics, especially later on. The ending, though rushed because they cancelled the second season, is somewhat touching--as Luu, Mog, and Kaze all sacrifice their lives to fire the Magun and destroy the Earl. I confess, though, I have this show on bootleg, and if I had paid full price for all seven disks, I might have been disappointed. Still, if you have the cash for the Thinpack, it could be worth picking up.

It was okay. I recall watching one of the episodes and cracking up every minute...but that was one episode. Not worth your cash, but if a friend has it, borrow it.
Great music, though. Just loved it.

Damn that's an awful tragedity. I've always been a fan of the FF music, not enough to make me sit through disk after disk of awful animation. I hate the fact that this series has the name of Final Fantasy on it. I'm going to cry in a damp, dark corner now, thanks for your opinions everyone, *sniff*, *sniff*
