Couple quick ones here...

1. No, there is no sequel to Witch Hunter Robin, and there likely never will be. It wasn't popular enough either here or in Japan to warrant any sort of continuation.

2. spoiler[The fate of Amon & Robin] was intentionally left open-ended. Japanese producers do that sometimes, just to give fans something worthwhile to discuss.

I'd like to add that prior to WHR being shown on Adult Swim, Sci Fi Channel was considering the possibility of doing a live action series based on the anime. Since Robin didn't get phenomenal numbers (Why did they expect it to? I love the series, but honestly it is a niche inside a niche!) the series hasn't been mentioned again.

Have you watched The Rock featuring Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery? If that hint is not enough, try reading my old post about the end of WHR.

I just can't resist quoting someone from that thread dormcat just linked to. (Click dormcat's link only if you've seen the series, some spoilers left untagged.)I don't want to commit any "thread necromancy".
Quote:
spoiler[2. Amon and Robin's relationship...I'm assuming they survived which means they will have to live together. That alone is interesting as Amon doesn't seem to be the type to live with anyone. And Robin loves him...how does he feel about her? Yeah, I know he is 10 years older but who cares huh?]
I really can't agree with that. I think it was Witchhunteronline.com that said something about Robin following Amon's orders in a fatherly way. I thought that made more sense, even though some of the episodes (and especially the opening animation Exclamation ) point to other directions. From the few seconds the anime has on er...Toko I think it was, spoiler[it's clearer that Toko and Amon like each other rather than Robin and Amon in love. Robin even ponders to Amon "could it be that you two are lovers?"]About the ambiguous ending though, my thoughts are that spoiler[Robin didn't die, and neither did Amon. Maybe because I like Michael a lot? He didn't believe Dojima when she said that they both couldn't have survived. There was also a taxi that pulled up in front of the STN-J and someone wearing black stepped out. I thought it could have been Robin. Amon probably still has to go and look for wherever Toko went.]
I love the series, but the ending still has me going on rants every now and then to anyone who'll listen. -_- Come on, the last episode practically leads into another season! Mad Strange, I find myself loving a lot of the series a lot of people only said were "good" or "not bad". I can agree WHR isn't the top in everything, but you gotta watch the whole thing. I didn't get hooked onto the show untill around episode 14 or so, when the plot started to take off.
BTW, am I getting the characters right? I hope I didn't mix anything up.
