Well there is always shopping Razz I like to visit the Broadway shopping centre in Nakano (a few stops west of Shinjuku) just to browse all the various things at the Mandarake stores. See a maid cafe in Akihabara? Visit Harakjuku on Sunday around lunchtime to see the cosplayers at the bridge (although there's not much anime cosplay - mostly gothic lolita).

Someone else asked a couple of weeks ago about finding the Bandai Museum and I think dormcat posted a map but I forget which thread it was in.

Oh well; leaving Satsuki and Mei's house in Aichi for a while gives me a chance to go back again (fortunately I managed to get tickets in the lottery back in April) - I still want to visit Takayama and the onsen in Gifu...

I just wanted to ask if anybody knew of anything (other than Ghibli Museum) to do in Tokyo (which I'll be visiting Thursday).

God, Edo, you missed the Summer Comic Market (Comiket) this year. Rolling Eyes

A maid cafe? The are so many of them. If I remember correctly, Cure Maid Cafe was the first, and if you pay ¥1000 extra at Cafe & Kitchen Cos-Cha you'll get a special service: spoiler[a maid will gently blow away the steam on your hot food to cool it down, then she'll feed you (first mouthful of food only).]

Don't forget Tora no Ana and Animate, BTW.

Strange, I want to dig my own post up, yet the search function of the forum seems to be down.

EDIT: It's back to normal now. Here's the post containing transportation to Bandai Museum.

My sweet Lord, that's pathetic... I can see Mori Kaoru paying for it, though... Laughing
