I've heard some rumors about Kimiga getting the Kanon treatment and going for the Haruka direction this time. Does anyone have some proof? The only thing I could find was this picture: http://xebek.animeblogger.net/wp-content/pictures/haruka.jpg

While this certainly would be quite nice, unlike Kanon, Kiminozo doesn't really require a remake. The original Kanon had awful animation which warranted a remake, while Kiminozo had very good animation to begin with.
I'm not quite fond of Haruka either. I'd rather see Akane Maniax remade than Kiminozo (and this time, erasing Goda Jouji from existence). |

I'd very much like a remake. Although I don't think it's necessarily needed that badly, I'd still be looking forward to it since Kiminozo is one of my favorite anime.
It would be nice if they could fix the pacing... I'll admit, the anime could have been shorter and still gotten across it's point just as well. |

Age replaced the picture a few hours later with Mitsuki's birthday picture. No offcial annoucement ever since. The proposed remake would follow "Haruka route" i.e. Takayuki would end up with Haruka.

Eh? This looks like a bad idea no matter what. There's so many Korean dramas to animate, I don't see why they need to remake only one out of many 4-people tragedies. And while KGNE isn't a ripoff of a specific Korean drama, it follows the formula exactly.

I agree with the Akane Maniax post, it makes KGNE look more like a comedy than a drama/tragedy. As for remaking KGNE for Haruka, eh, doesn't need to be done since I like how it is (except for Mizuki cutting her hair and losing the choker, but we can't all get it our way :/) but I can see how it could work with an alternate timeline. This kind of reminds me of Yu-Yu-Hakusho when they showed him what would have happened if he wouldn't have pushed the kid out of the car's way, except this time it's more like the car misses or the main guy shows up on time. I did feel like there was something lost when they ended their friendship because of what all had happened, but that's to be expected, but I wouldn't really call this remake KGNE. Most of the original was based around that accident, so remove that accident and you have a lot of things that could have gone differently, and can turn KGNE from a Romance/Drama into a School/Romance and it would lose a lot of the drama (gotta think, Mizuki most likely wouldn't have made her move if Haruka wasn't nailed by a vehicle). Now, if they change the storyline to make it so Mizuki confesses first and then SHE gets nailed by a car...well... it'll basically be the same story just...well..different.
As for Kanon, yea, it needed a remake, for me the original was too short and needed to be reanimated (as well as have a good OP and ED). I think the remake will also do a better time telling the story than the original as well, especially since there's 11 more eps  .
Well, for my ending notes I'll mention this..again...KGNE is one of the bggest deja-vu trips I've been through, I could swear I saw those exact characters doing those exact things before when I know I haven't watched it before...don't you just hate when that happens, cause it's drivin me crazy. |
