I was flipping through volume 9, and I realized Soichiro's mom is missing her left arm. There is a page, in volume 10, I believe, where a guy that looks a lot like Soichiro ( probably his father ? ) has a sword like weapon over his shoulder, and an arm flying away bloodily. I wonder if his father chopped off his mothers arm, and if so, I wonder why he would do such a thing. Has anyone else missed this before now, maybe I need to scrutinize the pages better. Still, she seems to kick some serious ass, for a one armed single mother. I thought it was great she met the same taxi driver Bunshichi Tawara met. Sorry if the names aren't quite correct. So anyone else enjoying this manga ? Volume 11 should be arriving soon, I hope.

I just read Vol. 11 yesterday and I was wondering the same thing. I never noticed that Mother was missing her arm (I'll have to go back to vol. 9 to see what you saw.
But, in Vol. 11, Mother spoiler[stopped Sochiro from being competly overtaken by the dragon and her arm seemed to disappear, so I though Sochiro did it. Later, in the hospital, the Father comes and she does talk about him cutting it off.] Hopefully the relationship between Mother and Father will be explained in the vol. 12. I'd talk more about Vol. 11 but there was an interesting twist and I don't want to ruin it for you! And I feel really sorry for that poor taxi driver...every couple of years a blood covered person seems to throw a semi-dead body in front of his cab! And yes, I'm enjoying the heck out of it! Now excuse me, I'm going back and re-read 9, 10, & 11. EDIT: Went back and skimmed through 9, 10, & 11 for scenes with Mother. Let's put it this way, spoiler[OUCH!] |

yeah, I just finished reading the latest volume, man, that sucks, heh. I wonder why the hell he did that. Maybe they will explain in the next volume....maybe.

They better explain why Soichiro's father did that to his mother! Hopefully they will also explain why spoiler[Father took Soichiro out of the hospital. What is that man up to?] |
