The original idea was to put Goemon in street clothes. When they realized that his samurai clothing WAS the joke, they gave him his old outfit back.

Geez, why was my original comment about Fujiko's bust size removed? I wasn't trying to be perverted, I was simply stating the difference between Japanese and American sexual culture. These mods can be pretty uptight for no reason at all.

Least they look more like their anime counterparts as opposed to the cast of the 1974 live action film.

I can like the 70s Lupin movie for what it is, a campy take on the material. Fits right in with the era.

Least this Lupin wears a red coat as oppose to the 1974 counterpart who looks like a disco fanatic. Well it was the 70's after all. And trust me I wasn't a big fan of that film, but it still sits in my Lupin collection cause I need to own everything that is Lupin III related.

That movie is an embarrassment. It shouldn't exist, and yet it does. I hated how Jigen was pretty much a slave to Lupin in this. I hated the fact that they couldn't have given Lupin his real jacket. I hate that there's no Goemon. The storyline makes no sense, and the overall comedy is hilariously bad. I just get a headache thinking about it.
I really hope that the new one can erase the stain of the original.

If I had to hate on a live-action anything, that 70s Lupin movie would be the last on my list. But then I grew up on the 60s Batman, so I can handle it.
