OH Wow. 'Death Jam!" sounds very... interesting.

Just from the review, i'm wondering why Tokyopop's releasing it... to appeal a "gangsta" crowd?

What is the age rating of it?

Why do you have to ask? This is the same company that thought DJ Milky was a good idea...

The age rating is 'OT: Older Teen 16+'. At least, I think that the number is 16, the rating label listed on Tokyopop's website is somewhat hard to read.

Conventions are literally making me sick.

Shocked Goodness! I hope you feel better soon.

Any ideas outside of amazon.jp where I can get the Kinoshita Alice in Wonderland book? I've been searching sites everywhere. (Is an Alice maniac, along with being a Kinoshita fan)

TOKYOPOP has the first part of the series (Peacemaker); ADV has the second part (Peacemaker Kurogane).

No, they're not. the three volumes you bought that were released by ADV were the equivilence of volumes 7-9, where as the volumes that Tokyopop is releasing are going to be the equivilence of volumes 1-6 (and probably 7-11 later, but for now, just 1-6). The Peacemaker Kurogane series that ADV released is just like Saiyuki Reload or Trigun Maximum in the sense that it was simply the continuation of the original series under a different publisher, thus a slight change in name (in this case, Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker to Peacemaker Kurogane). So if you liked PMK, I highly, highly reccomend checking out either Tokyopop's release or the anime so you can get the begining of the story.

Here are the places I usually go to when I want imports:

sasugabooks.com (my favorite)
yesasia.com
jpqueen.com
or email [email protected] (they're kinokuniya bookstore)

I really like Alive, but it is one of those books that takes a few volumes to hit it's stride. Mostly because of the sickening lurch as it gives up on being horror and becomes a superpowered fighting book.

Sasuga's also my favorite, but they sometimes have their bad days. I wonder what happened to my Haruhi Suzumiya order? They were searching for a copy of the manga in Japan, which I assume wouldn't be too hard to find. Oh well, it's not like I've had to pay for it yet... Rolling Eyes

More like the crowd of "I'm 12 and I listen to rap music because I believe it makes make me look more socially acceptable and fitting the trendy norm in the eyes of my equally deluded peers" in not so many words.

Look! Gangsta kOmixz!!!
