Ugh. Now Sony bets on anime for potential Oscar consideration, when they could've done so with Metropolis and Tokyo Godfathers. And I guess if you really wanted to go there, Tekkon Kinkreet.

Another one in the line of Sony's "Toss it out there and pray for an Oscar nomination" slate.
Honestly though, I thought Sony stopped licensing animated movies years ago and just focused on producing them, but I guess not.
