I was thinking the same thing. The season 2 as it should have been if there wasn't the change of time slot. Without Rolo, with the Karen Brother story, and with the explanation of the link of Suzaku with the Geass, and why he can run faster than a machinegun before he got geassed by Lelouch.
It's been 7 year I'm waiting for that.

YES! I've been waiting for this announcement for the longest. We're almost there. Just do the right thing and correct the mistakes of the past.

Also, this event is the week before Lelouch's birthday.

Here's a tip: Have realistic expectations.

Especially since the show already reached its originally intended ending.

That said, I think it's unlikely they'll do something as boring as just improve on R2.

If they do make a remake or retelling, it probably won't follow any previous framework.

Rather, it'll tell a very different story from the beginning with many changes. Like the Macross Frontier films.

At long last there is something to look forward to. Having Lelouch on the picture and his name in the website for the 10th anniversary is a good sign he will be involved in some way. I am personally hoping for those Code Geass remake movies announced a few years ago.

We don't actually believe that's what they will annouce (at least I don't). But yeah, my previous post was misleading. Those event are often really underwhelming. Plus Akito 4 and 5 were so disappointing.

It's just some kind of dream, something I would have really wanted to see.

Meh any new R2 I could get interested in would need to not hit the reset button with the whole "lelouch memory erased" and everything.

Wait, Code Geass is only 10 years old?

...I must admit, that wasn't the reaction I expected to have.

Small correction: they certainly announced there would be "a movie" but nothing about any remake was mentioned back then.

While the Akito the Exiled movies were disappointed, the visuals were good imo.
