Yep, their first Anime and It will only be the sixth animated film they've released after Le Planete Sauvage, Les Maitres du Temps, Gandahar, Wizards and The Adventures of Mark Twain.

Going by their past releases, it should be good.

Huzzah!
This is the film that made an anime fan out of me, and it remains very dear to me to this day. I always considered it quite an injustice that the Blu-Ray format did not accommodate this film for so long, but at last this has been amended.

I have their release of Wizards on blu-ray. That was one strange film.

Didn't they also release the orginal Metropolis? I have it on blu-ray.

Bakshi is an...acquired taste.

And yes, they released the original Lang Metropolis and it's one of the best HD releases of the last decade IMHO.

They also gave it a re-release last year, a 2-disc Blu-ray with the Moroder version as well.
