Better than their other Halloween performance. Poor NicoPepper started dancing straight away and way ahead of the others, Kotori was dead the whole way through and I believe Rin died a few times part way through too.

Well that was hard to watch they would have been much better off if they just did the robot dance. Laughing

That's the stuff of nightmares, robot idols need a lot of work before they can be bearable on stage, I'll stick with living, breathing idols, 2D, and Hologram idols for now.

From the looks of it, it will be a great while before the Pepper Robots become decently skilled at dancing. NozoPepper nearly fell off the stage!

I'll say this about the Peppers, kids love 'em.

You see them around a lot in front of shops and places helping to attract customers, and they are programmed to just call out to people walking by (and look at them).
Kids (like, 5-8 year olds) are drawn to them like a magnet and they have a lot of fun interacting with the preprogrammed games, interactions they can do.

They are not designed for this kind of precise movement routines, so it's not wonder some of them would get out of sync. I wonder how expensive they are these days? Still around $2000 each?

Sound of the future now. I hope they get to be Welcoming Ambassadors for the Olympics. I saw a report on NHK World titled Building Olympic Momentum showing a string of performances of Japanese culture from the very beginning to the present and it included a set piece by Hatsune Miku speaking English. There is a hint that this might be the theme of the 2020 Olympics opening ceremony.
