I mean, it's hard to say how it will hold up in the long run, but it definitely looks like it's going to make a ton of money there.

It did when we first wrote the story about it being predicted to hit 20 billion yen. But you're right, now 20 billion yen is about US$176 million, so I've changed the number in the article.

At this rate it could rack over 500 million and will become by far the biggest Japanese box office success ever.

In purchasing power 20 billion yen is about 220 million USD. The dollar is particularly strong right now that's why the yen has a weak exchange rate.
