Megumin is (much like most of the cast) fun in small doses, it would get tiring really fast if it was just the same type of jokes over and over. Just look at the last arc of season 2. The town's people were funny for the first 2 episodes and even near the end of the 2 episode it was starting to get tiring. So, by all means a season 3 over a spinoff for this one for me.
