I appreciate that the guys at Trigger aren't getting tripped up over the history of the character. I love old toku, but I prefer forward-thinking to references. If I want the old stuff, I can just watch the original Gridman or the original SSSS.

Too bad Trigger didn't any give "depth to the characters" in their last effort.

Since the biggest anime industry hack of the decade isn't writing it. It most likely won't.

The 3rd picture in the interview reminds me of an even more bad-ass Eva Unit 01. Studio Trigger and Tsuburaya Productions made a nostalgic-leaning anime with a foreign audience also in mind. This has me hoping this show does well for streaming numbers here.

what you really should hope is that this doesn't end up become another darling in the franxx.

TRIGGER had very little to do with Darling's writing. Thats all on Nishigori. They were only for Animation and even then, the amount of time they were on the animation team diminished over time.

That Khara animation was the first time I thought of SSSS since seeing it as a kid and learning about the original show it was adapted from. Recognizing my old toys was a real treat I wasn't expecting.

I hope this turns out well and look forward to seeing it =)

It is worth noting the usage of material from F, Gridman's never produced sequel similar to how Sigma was the star of the short in its own way.

The anime does need its own Takeshi too. I wouldn't mind them playing around with the way the setting worked (ie Gridman protects the real world instead of the digital, etc). I need the complete support craft set too, mainly because I need some semblance of a new Dynadragon to complete my OG set.

Since it's getting a simuldub, perhaps some of the DiTF dub crew and cast should also be in SSSS:G.

as with the title for the sharknado 3 movie says,,, "OH HELL NO!!!!!!"

that alone would have franxx haters screaming 'RED ALERT!"

also it also not known if funi would license it let alone simuldub it. from the animation alone its more or less screaming that its going to be handeled by aniplex of america!

Actually FUNi announced the rights last month. No word on if they were able to dig up Matthew Lawrence or anyone else from Syber Squad.
