I'd be hard-pressed to come up with another franchise that does "what it is trying to do" as well as the Etrian series, to the point where I've decided to hold off on buying my next console until Atlus announces what platform their "next stage" will be on.

hopefully they decide to go the Switch route.
They have done so well on the ds and 3ds and the switch would let the series remain a game playable on the go.
but yeah as someone who grew up in the early 90's these type of 1st person dungeon crawling games are awesome. (still hoping EO3 gets an untold version in future...)
