ufotable's first Shonen Jump adaptation, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Not exactly, as ufotable did do the original 2009 Toriko pilot that predated the later TV anime by Toei in 2011. This will be the studio's first TV adaptation, though. Sorry, but I'm just a pedantic stickler for things like that.

Regardless, good to hear that the anime looks so promising. While I'm sure I won't be watching it regularly as it airs, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for how its received once it debuts.

But will it be better than Dororo? That is the real question here.

Well, didn’t know Jacob lives in SoCal too (jk jk )

I am hopeful after the premiere report, but after knowing this is a 2-cour /half year production, I am kinda worry if Ufotable can keep up the quality consistently ( more than 5 eps already finished is a good start though)

I was hopeful Demon Slayer would be a fun but typical action show but it makes me excited to hear ufotable gave it an astounding production and to hear it be called one of the best of the year already. It makes me wish Golden Kamuy got this kind of treatment.

I had forgotten about this one, but when I first heard about it, I wanted to see it. So this is good news, and I can't wait.

Interesting that it has a strong premier, as I seem to remember the manga taking a long time to get going (spending a good season's worth of content just establishing itself). Definately expected pacing to be an issue.
