Oh, when I saw the image of Twelve Kingdoms on the front page I was instantly hoping for the novels to be licensed or a (unlikely) new anime.

Well that's a shame.

Most likely because Discotek only have the rights for NA.

Great to see the subtitled version of Twelve Kingdoms legally available again. I believe Netflix carried it, but only with the dub.

Twelve Kingdoms was fantastic. I'd love to see more of the novels animated.

For my fellow mecha fans, is Dancouga worth checking out any?

It’s average at best. It’s very slow, with Dancouga itself not appearing until the half-way mark, and most of the material Super Robot Wars pulls from occurs in the ending/OVA’s. It also seems to suffer from some sort of of re-write issue, as the ending becomes very confused with both plots and character arcs getting abruptly dropped. And then the ending itself is pretty fatalistic. That said, the characters are endearing enough, but I can’t recall a single “big moment” for anyone. Granted, my memory is from the original VHS release and those subs were probably not the best.
Dancouga has its place in history because it was Masami Obari’s first big project/mecha design. The show itself is unremarkable. However, the OVA’s are much better and hopefully those get released. I’ll probably re-watch at least the latter half fo see if Discotek’s subs make for an improved/more comprehensive viewing.
