You could ask that for pretty much any sequel/new manga to an older series.

"Why Kinnikuman II-Sei?"
"Why Akatsuki!! Otokojuku?"
"Why Ring ni Kakero 2?"
"Why Saint Seiya: Next Dimension?"
"Why Iron Wok Jan! R & Iron Wok Jan! 2nd?"
"Why Dragon Ball Super?"

One could be cynical & say that Hashiguchi is trying to milk his previous hit manga, because he hasn't been able to properly follow it up, even though he had a fair hit with his two Saijou no Meii series, which totaled 30 volumes). One could also guess that, after all these years, Hashiguchi simply feels like going back to the zany world of Yakitate!!, because he missed it & feels that he can now offer something new that he couldn't before.

Regardless, I'm up for it, & I do hope it'll come over here in some way, at some point. Love me some gag bread making manga.

I stopped when the whole thing switched into gag manga territory and stayed there the rest of the way. The last page was a parody of Street Fighter for God's sake!
