That settles it. It’s going to be some sort of adaptation of The Origin.

That concept art looks pretty cool to be honest, it looks exactly as the RX-2 79 from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, which makes me wonder if this is going to be a direct adaptation of the first Gundam. I was expecting an original story, perhaps an amalgamation of previous shows like Wing, SEED and 0079.

Why is the hangar on fire?! Why is it launching from a sinking ship?! Fire is not the answer to making things look cool! Stop it!

My guess it's rising up from the base on side 7 from the first episode of the original series |

From a past interview with the director the story will be a amalgamation of all the Gundam properties. Concept art doesn't always represent what the final product will look like they usually just represent the tone they're going for. |

This is definitely gonna suck,, but I'm optimistic that we'll at least get some good big stumpy robot fights out of it. F91, for example, was a pretty bad movie story-wise, but it had (and has) some of the best-directed action sequences in the franchise.

It looks more like the final battle at A Baoa Qu, in the concept art the Gundam looks very damaged, especially its arm, kinda like the RX-78 in the last episode were it lost its arm and head |

I was wondering if the Gundam would be based around or outright be the RX-78. Really curious to see what they do here.

it actually looks like a blatant homage to the ending of the Gundam SEED first episode. |

Well, this looks interesting. I might want to see this version of "Gundam" one of these days. This looks like it might be good.

I just finished the original Gundam last summer, and watched a few others as well, and I gotta say, this isn't what I think about when I think about Gundam. If you want to show Gundam, have NO fire, have a beam sword(with the gundam obviously), show the main character, and either the main villain themself or their Gundam.
I really hope this won't take place on Earth. I'm getting the vibe that these guys might come up with some crazy idea that fighting in space or on a Side would be too extreme for the wider audience... |

I love how people are already labeling this project as "sucking" when they clearly do not understand what concept art is.
