Aww, I wonder why it's being taken off? Maybe this means it'll have a home video release later?

That sucks.

Is this going to be one of those deals where a company (in this case Sony) buys the rights to a movie and then decides to unite everything under their banner for release?

If it did, I wonder how hard it'd be to figure out who owns the rights to the English dub. Netflix doesn't exactly have a reputation for transparency.

Weird they made such a big deal about pushing the series on Netflix and now they're losing the classic version.

I wonder if Sentai will pick it up since they basically dubbed it.

Of course Netflix is gonna pull this anime from its service.

Netflix gonna Netflix. I don't know what I was thinking.

[angrily bangs head on table] Oh, for the love of- someone better release the rest of the series on physical media, that's all I gotta say.

I think Toei Animation owns the rights since they're the company that announced the dub.

This felt rather short, given they are only on Netflix for only about a year and a half. So it makes me wonder what's happened behind the scenes. Or it was only on the service to promote the Netflix 3DCG version. Regardless, time to watch this on the background. I think all this time, I've only seen the Sanctuary Arc, but not the rest of the original.

And this is why I don't pay for streaming services. They're rentals that can be yanked out of your hands at any time.

Now all you'll see when you search for it is their garbage reboot. Tuh-riffic...

Yeah, I can see this happening too after what happened with Robotech.

Yup, they funded it with the J-LOD (Japanese Government) joining in for the rest of the show so this and the reboot are different from the usual Netflix work.

I've seen a decent amount of the dub not the entire piece but most of it. Sentai hopefully will release the dub on blu-ray at some point in the future would be a complete waste if it ends up in a limbo release hell in the years ahead.

Good luck with that. There’s way too many episodes to be finished by December.
