To my knowledge, Blue Protocol is a full-blown MMORPG (like FFXIV), and not as the article suggests an RPG with some co-op elements (like Genshin).

Looks like Bamco is about to teach Sega how to run an MMORPG lol. If this takes off I can imagine most of the PSO2 player base will migrate to this game. Seems like it's everything New Genesis wanted to be and more. I just hope fashion isn't the only endgame for this one as well.
