If that was the case, then they wouldn't have pulled OPM and Bleach from their services.

I can't speak to the rumors but for the record, Crunchyroll's Bleach license was through TV Tokyo, not Viz. And Crunchyroll never streamed One-Punch Man in the US. It was always Hulu exclusive (well S1 was on Daisuki but that whole site is defunct now)
