The work that goes into producing beautiful animation!
It's kind of amazing to think they used to do this all without digital.

^ Yup, and those of us who have collected this artwork know that there was a lot of good stuff too. Some of the layouts were absolute works of art and, many times, were much more detailed than the stuff that appeared on screen. I have layouts from Cardcaptor Sakura that I can only wish had made it to the screen instead of the cels that were used. Madhouse really turned out some fine pieces of artwork and its a shame that most people will never see that detail, especially when it came to background artwork.
