Having read the source materials up to Book 11, I don't think that Books 8 and 9 have enough content to them to merit there own movies. Much of Knapsack kid will have implications later on down the line, but no real apparent closure of this arc.
Same can be said with its predecessor, Sister Venturing out which was created to close up loose threads left behind by books 5, 6 and 7. Which at this point is the peak of the series.
I missed the viewing of Sister Venturing out because AX stupidity, however this gave me time to re-read vol 8.
without going real far into this.. the events of 8 and 9 will have impacts later this I know, but I am choosing my words carefully.
