While I like the concept, Gundam really needs more modern single player games, this does look like a small budget game because you can clearly see in the trailer they had no one dedicated to working on the enemy AI.

There are some build your own Gundam with parts from destroyed enemies type games that come out in the West e.g. Breaker, but Japan gets a lot of arcade machine Gundam games with co-op and versus that never see a Western release.

I'm really hoping this is a sign of them 'testing the waters' for more ports of classic Gundam games, 'cause that's where all the best ones are. Hell, Battle Destiny really comes from that era when Gundam games were at their peak.
And to really get my hopes up, let's all hold our collective breath that this might somehow result in a port of some of those fantastic Macross games... ideally M30, but even Delta Scramble or the PSP games would be nice to see someday.
