Is there any way to disable the auto-playing video widget?

Lately the auto-playing video widget is defaulting to sound on. There doesn't seem to be any way to change this in the site settings on my account. Even if the video defaulted to sound off, the auto-playing means it eats mobile data when my fixed broadband is down (as it was over the weekend). Having to manually close the widget is annoying, especially on mobile devices.

Came here wondering this too. I'm on desktop, so the autoplay itself isn't as much of an issue, but it playing with sound is driving me insane. Makes for a really awful browsing experience. I get you want to advertise your video content but this isn't the way to do it.

Same here. It's actually unbearable. Instead of making you wanting to check out the content, it generates the opposite effect.

It's not supposed to do that. We're in the process of migrating to a new player, and it seems that the provider may have accidentally made a settings change on the old player.

I've confirmed this problem myself on desktop, so I've contacted the provider and asked them to fix it immediately.

Thanks for reporting it.

I noticed the player disappeared for a day or so, but now it's back and still playing music.

(I thought I reported this the other day, but maybe I closed the browser before I sent it?)
