I find it kind of odd that the series will air on [adult swim] in the U.S. and Latin America, but that it also will be streamed on Disney+. ¿Has this happened before? I think Bleach was the only series that aired on both [adult swim] and Disney+/Hulu

I'm wondering if it's possible that Adult Swim merely co-funded the series, rather than co-produced it (there's a difference, the former just throwing in money to get partial rights rather than helping to fund/build the thing from the ground up - Space Dandy and GITS:SAC was done this way).

Tempting, but I've got Hulu/Disney+ under a boycott due to a well known incident back in 2025 and won't be giving them my coin nor clicks in response.

Streaming and distribution rights are a real pain in the tail to figure out. Learned that the hard way with the various Macross series over the years.

I think it's likely going to Hulu/Disney+ because Viz owns the master license and they put all their anime on Hulu.

They're also a co-producer on the show so it's higher than that.

DVDs plays in 480, that's a given. What does that have to do with streaming?

I'd say one of the most confusing instances of distribution rights is how both Netflix and Crunchyroll acquired the rights to Dan Da Dan, but Crunchyroll had to make its own dub in other languages except for English, which was the same on both platforms.

So does this mean that even though it's on Toonami it won't stream on HBO Max or should we expect it there too?
