Kikuri-chan, our hero. Club 27 is awaiting you.
Now, in all seriousness, don't be like her.
Kamiina Botan has been one of the best shows of the year thus far.

Well, it's certainly better than the smoking column that pretended that walking ashtrays were sexy or good cooks. The biggest difference between smoking and drinking is that you can portray fun drinking but not fun smoking. Smoking is for pathetic wrecks who gave up and burn their lives away just like their cancer sticks to get that little bit closer to the sweet release of death. Even at its most positive framing, it evokes the seediness and jadedness of adulthood. With drinking, you get both fun and social shenanigans and also depressed failures chasing parties they don't have anymore because drinks aren't fellow partygoers. The lack of coordination induced by drinking also works for slapstick, plus the bottle(s) make for good prop(s). I doubt we'll ever get an anime about the deep and meaningful ways to smoke cigars, lol.

I remember Tsubasa had Syaoran and Sakura getting drunk at the age of 13 more or less but the animators censored that. Same with Leorio from Hunter x Hunter who is suprisingly underage. A strange case for a more adult light novel is Sosuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic who finds acohol disgusting for some reason.

You mentioned Laid Back Camp in which drinking was a special event, but overlooked Solo Camping For Two in which campfire drinking seemed to be at least half their reason for camping at all, and was featured in almost every episode. Eating something delicious, with obligatory squeals of Umai!!, chased by beer or liquor chugging and Misato-worthy gasps of ecstasy was the mains' bonding ritual (this is not a recommendation to watch the series, just noting the oversight ).

There's also yanineko. Which should have gotten a side mention . Each cat has at least one vice, with he titular smoking cat, a weed cat , and yes. An alcoholic cat.

I'll toss in the second part of Megazone 23 with it's variety of Japanese and US beer brands.

I think Sosuke may have lost the majority of his liver at some point, so he's not able to tolerate much alcohol.

I guess Death Parade isn’t suitable, even if set in a bar.
And does Wakazuke’s contented “pshuuuu” count as another Misato reference?
The Kikuri Hiiroi Bocchi spin-off manga does a fine job putting Hiiroi’s drinking in a fairly negative light

The blatant product placement for BrewDog Punk IPA was a surprising thing to see in a recent Botan episode. Especially given that BrewDog had gone bust owing over £550 million to its creditors, which has me wondering if the anime production company ever got paid for that.
(Also, I read that BrewDog's new owners have possibly ditched that branding anyway)

I'm disappointed they missed Fujisawa-sensei from El-Hazard.
