*slaps hand on wall* You see SEGA!?! This is how you do it! If the VA's are willing to do it you should (and can) pay them! Yes there is age in the voice but we can still tell it's them and they are just as good if not better when they took the role!

I took the DLC for a quick spin drive and did the quick DLC quest and raced twice and that was it but mostly because I've already 100% the game.

I look forward to XC2 upgrade the most because as a first year monolith studios switch game it is rough! Yes they have the draw distance but the resolution and fps (both docked and handheld) bring the game down.

XC3 is actually fine but won't say no to it. I have not played Future Redeem yet mainly because I don't want the story to end but I will if it gets the update as well.

Jean-Karlo, please. Please. I need a reason to NOT buy the Switch 2 over here and I already have a hefty backlog of Switch 1 games over here and you’re just glazing one of my favorite games of all time and…

Man. I’m tempted to buy a physical copy of this at the very least and call it at that. Nintendo always winds up releasing “updated” versions of their consoles and I just don’t like double-dipping on consoles the way I do with games (I say as an OG member of Project Rainfall and a proud owner of the Wii version of Xenoblade.)

Also, please do a write-up about the original art style someday. I love them both, but I’m not brave enough to wade enough into yet more fandom discourse.

Kind of sighing at the fact we're getting updated versions of 'definitive editions' now. That term means nothing does it? Media is always being added to and altered. Companies really need to understand that it's okay for things to end Media doesn't need to be perpetual. I played the original Xenoblade on the Wii back in the day. That's good enough for me. I don't need to buy it 3 more times.

I don't really play JRPGs (or any RPGs in general, for that matter), but I'm extremely happy that I took a chance on buying Xenoblade ages ago. It took until getting the Switch version to actually sit down and play it, but it captivated me the whole way through. I don't have plans to buy a Switch 2 in the near future, but at the very least I need to sit down and start in on XC2.

They only doing this because they have nothing else to provide at the moment and it's been well documented that people will buy the same game again and again on a newer platform.
