Hi, I've been browsing this site/forum for quite some time (just didn't do any posting Smile) Anyhow, I didn't find this topic in the searches.

Are there any LE box sets or whatever that you're just especially pissed that you didn't get your hands on? Also, which do you have? I can't find Cowboy Bebop LE for a reasonable price on eBay.... and my .hack//Sign Vol.1 LE is missing the doll.

Have:

.hack//Sign Vol.1 LE (missing gruntie)
Ai Yori Aoshi Vol. 1 w/Collector's Box (Limited Edition)
Boogiepop Phantom Ultra LE
FLCL Fooly Cooly DVD vol 3 w/ Limited Ed Artbox
Kiddy Grade Starter Set w/Baseball Cap
Please! Teacher! (Onegai Teacher) Vol.1 w/LE Box, Soundtrack CD, mini-manga, and postcard set
Vampire Princess Miyu TV - Box Set w/CD Soundtrack & Charm
Escaflowne TV Limited Edition Box w/Figurine (still available)
.hack//Sign Vol.2 LE (still available)
.hack//Sign Vol.3 LE (still available)
.hack//Sign Vol.4 LE (still available)
.hack//Sign Vol.5 LE (still available)
Armitage LE Lunchbox (still available @ Suncoast $25)
Haibane-Renmei: Vol.1 w/Collector's Box (still available)

.....several others that are not so limited and/or still available that I'm not going to list.

WANT:

Cowboy Bebop LE Box Set
Serial Experiments Lain - LE Lunch Box w/CD & Stickers
Chobits Collector's Box w/Limited Edition Stationary Set
Saber Marionette J Ultimate Collection LE Numbered box (of 5000) w/signature (still available - pricey)

What other rare / limited edition / oop stuff are you guys/gals looking for or missed out on.

I no longer buy LE that only include the box, since I throw away my DVD clam shells and keep them in CD binders for space reasons. The few boxes I have kept include the wonderful box that comes with Berserk, which contains color images in the inside as well. I've also kept the Akira tin, and the nifty Escaflowne movie box. Most of the others (IE RahXephon, Noir, Hack) I bought for the free shirts and goodies. The best DVD goodies bundle IMO is the WHR DVD 1 box which includes a cool shot glass, and a nice shirt.

As long as the DVDs themselves are no different, I honestly don't care to play the LE game. I'll buy the DVD without the collector's box and save 5 bucks.

I think the only LE I have is the Escaflowne Box, and the only reason I have that is I was able to get a really good price on it. Most of the stuff that comes in an LE wouldn't really interest me anyway.

I don't usually buy the LE sets... I prefer not to have boxes, and don't really care about t-shirts, panties, figures, etc that may come with a set.

The only LE set that I set out to buy was the Evangelion Death and Rebirth and EoE Laserdisc set that came out in Japan five years ago.... and it came with all sorts of goodies... and cost about 250-300 bucks, but that's beside the point....

Speaking of limited edition DVDs, can the later .Hack//Sign Limited Edition boxes(2-6) hold all six of the DVDs?

Actually... it can fit the first 6 DVD's in there... and that is the way it was designed. You just need to look at it again. Smile

Wasn't he talking about the limited edition covers that volumes 2-6 come with? The paper ones that surround the DVD and CD. I know the box that Vol. 1 came with holds all six.

Anyway to answer the question, I missed the Cowboy Bebop set (bought it on Ebay) and the FLCL vol.3 w/box (Right Stuf had it recently Very Happy ).

The LE of .hack//Sign 'Terminus' includes a second DVD which includes such fun things as episodes 27 and 28. From what I have been able to understand, episode 28 is the finality of the .hack saga (i.e. AFTER .hack//DUSK; which Bandai has just announced for April, I do believe).

Actually, .hack//SIGN episode 27 "Intermezzo" is a prequel showing what Mimuru was like as a 'n00b' in The World. "Unison" occurs shortly after the fourth installment of the video games and features the game characters and the SIGN characters.

Well, according to the Encyclopedia/release .hack LE 6 has episode 28 while both versions have ep. 27.

What in the...

The regular edition has 2 bonus episodes. The LE edition has 3 bonus episodes. But .hack//SIGN only has 28 episodes.

26 + 3 != 28

EDIT: According to someone who somehow found a copy of it, episode 15: Evidence is on volume 6.
