First, you'll need to download the AMV.

And you'll need a DVD-RW drive.

Then, once you've downloaded the AMV of your choice, you can use the DVD authoring program that came with your DVD-RAW drive to put the AMV onto the DVD-R.

you'll need a DVD-RW drive, a DVD-ROM drive can only play DVDs.

Step 1: Get off the computer.
Step 2: Go to the electronics store (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.).
Step 3: Locate the DVD-RW drives.
Step 4: Pay for the DVD-RW drive of your choice.
Step 5: Go home.
Step 6: Install it.
Step 7: Download all the AMVs you want.

But before you do that, take some grammar lessons. Have you ever heard of question marks? <--

You do not need to get a RW drive unless you planning getting RW discs. Just get a DVD-R drive. If you are planning on playing them on any standard DVD player, you need to burn them on to a R disc, not RW, because RW doesn't work on standard DVD player. Remember + disc don't not burn on - drives. The same with - disc on + drives.

For more info, check out VideoHelp.com. They give you how to guides and places online to get some good deals on all the stuff you need.

Oh yeah!

I forgot about the differences between DVD-RW and DVD-R.

But yeah... You'll still need a new DVD-R drive. Your DVD ROM drive won't work at all.

Plus R drives are cheaper then RW. Just trying to save the poor guy some extra bucks.

No. WMV's won't convert into MPEG2, which is the file format you'll need for DVD playback.

Although your question is about Anime, this isn't really the place. Try going to a site that specializes in this sort of thing like www.doom9.org. You might get better results by posting in their forum.

Also, don't mind some of our... ruder members. We're not all like that.

You can get a perfectly good DVD +/- RW drive for around $40. Then it won't matter if you use + or -, of if you want to use R or RW (for whatever purpose).

Sure you can, although I'm not about to get into it.

Hmm, I didn't know that they had any videos at amv.com. . .they might have a couple at animemusicvideos.org, try that place out Rolling Eyes

But seriously, check one of the sites mentioned by other posters that is actually focused on audio/video/encoding/burning issues--this site is not like that.
