Hi there,
I have been looking for this for years since seeing it on TV in Kazakhstan, without any success, so any help would be great. It was overdubbed in Russian or Kazakh, and the previous track was in English, but I think that it may have been a different language before that. I do not know the title of it, I only saw scenes from it, and all my searches for it have not turned up anything. Thanks. The basic story line I think is that soldiers invade a small town or village, but I'm not sure where, it looks like a European place. They storm into family homes, there are shootings, executions, a soldier gets run over by a tank and I think towards the end a baby dies in the arms of its mother, who is among a group of women from the village wandering in the countryside as refugees I think. These were in the title credits actually, in a sort of montage over some classical music. The beginning of the film shows a young boy in a town square buying food at a stall, and meeting one of his friends. Another sequence I remember is that a small toy wagon rolls down the street, broken I think, and the young boy stares as it goes down. I switched on a little later and the boy was in some building with some men. A man appears and it turns out to be the boy's father. The father seems to remember the man getting run over by the tank. Other shots I remember are of a young man or boy getting shot in the head, a couple of men who are tied up are executed by firing squad, and a woman is pushed against the wall by a soldier. I am afraid that is all I remember. I know that if I saw a still from the film I would remember it. |

you're not the only one who saw that movie back in Kazakhstan and still trying to identify it. I've been at it for years, and still no answer.

I can not tell you how much of a relief it is to hear that someone else has seen it and is looking for it too. I've even tried E-mailing some TV companies in Kazakhstan without any replies at all. I've consulted so many companies and people and books, but nothing at all. A lost Anime?
What were you're experiences of seeing it? Is my description all right or are there some corrections needed? Like I'm pretty certain it was in English and overdubbed in Russian, but after so much time I'm not so sure now. |

That I'm not sure I'm afraid. I didn't see it fully to understand why the invasion or anything was happening.

If you're having difficulty identifying an anime title, please use this thread from here on out. Also, please don't revive threads that are nearly a whole year old. Having a thread from that long ago suddenly bump up to the top just causes too much chaos & confusion to make it worth anything. Locked. |
