It's just a suggestion and I'm sure it would be annoying/boring/tough work but I sometimes just browse the encyclopedia and just look at like tons of different animes (I'm a loser

Much like Wiki, someone got to know the date. If it aired in the 70's, chances are they are not going to remember stuff like month, let alone day. Unlike Wiki, you got to have proof that the date is for real.

Taking something like this to its logical extreme, you'd be putting all of the information about an entry on the list. Examples might include, "I don't like clicking on an anime only to find out that it's a shoujo title. Could you put the genre next to the name?" And so on with all of the other information. The title is enough information for a list. Really, does it take that much effort to click the back button on your browser?
