I am a large fan of the new nicktoon, Avatar the Last Airbender, and I recently tried to find more information about it on this website but to by disappointment could find none. Does Avatar not meet the standards or qualifiers to be considered an anime or is it the fact that is an American made product and there for not constitute as being anime?
If this is the case then I don't understand. Granted that anime does mean a Japanese animation but with the growing popularity of anime in America couldn't anime be considered just a art form with out being strictly a exported product from Japan? |

animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23083 But I've seen bits and pieces of it, too. It's not that bad, but I've never watched a full episode. I really don't like coming into the middle of series. But if I find the opening episode, I might start watching the entire show. |
