It's quite funny how the name can be pronounced as "Pain d'épice", which mean gingerbread in French.

I don't really think it's trying to be like it, and I don't think it needs to be honestly. This show just seems like a slice of life about cute girls that like bread and that's all it wants to be, however I could be wrong.
It should be a cute and possibly fun show to add to my spring list, I believe it's a short listed for 5 minutes according to Anichart, I guess we'll see.
