I really enjoyed One Outs and this seems to be somewhat similar to it. Looking forward to this!

That's what I thought. More specifically, it reminds me of the second phase of the One Outs manga, where Tokuchi takes over the Lycaons and essentially turns them into a meritocracy. Since I'll probably never get to see that animated, it looks like this show could be the next best thing.
