A significant amount of work I do on J-Novel Club is done very late at night inside a Johnathan's....

I think I might have to license this.

Please don't, it would be better if it gets licensed by a company that actually releases novels.

I'm sorry you don't think a book is real unless it's printed on physical paper, but we've released 44 volumes since we started 9 months ago.
And if we actually license it, you can rest assured that no one else bid on it in the first place. We don't prevent print editions from being created (see Grimgar/Arifureta print editions), rather a license from us makes it more likely eventually IMO, because we'll have created the translation already, the most costly part for novels.

Know what would be a better idea? Finding a good light novel to license instead of this crap.

I am guessing it probably won't have any fanservice since it had to be approved by the company but Rage of Bahamut showed that good things do occasionally happen. I haven't heard any reviews of the light novel but the story of a witch looking for the cure to a curse sounds like it could have some potential.

Hey, he licensed The Faraway Paladin, which is a good novel series, not just within the confines of "light novel." That's worth a couple of weird releases. Laughing

If you had to make a petition for people willing to chip in some money to get this series licensed, I would personally put in $5-10.

I would be excited for a light novel of the Waffle House...
Three stacks of waffles with extra syrup drizzled on top for an amazing adventure! Smile

Now that's strategic planning.

Damn, people sure do Like Their Mom.

anyway this sounds kinda whatever. I feel like the whole food in alt world thing is becoming a new trend that'll get exhausted pretty quickly.
I'm a fan of Sunao's work though so at least it should look pretty.....
