Moderated by Stu, with Kun/Shawn/Adam as the panelists?!

Those 4 people are arguably some of the most influential people in the NA market ever.
If only Jon Ledford was there, it'd be perfect.

I have to attend now, just in case it blows up somehow Wink.

Didn't TokyoPop go bankrupt and leave a ton of manga licenses in limbo and several other series unfinished? And they're running the panel?? Well, hope it goes well. I mean I know they're back, but I thought they were only working with Disney right now.

I was interested until Stu Levy came up. His companies all failed. He's only there for the money.

Despite TP's many failures, some of its successes include helping popularize shoujo manga and being an early licensor of some light novels (though how they translated is another matter).

Tokyopop's unflipped, bookstore distribution focused manga pretty much spurred the manga boom in the 00's.

Given their behavior before and since then, it's not hard to feel like that was a happy accident, but that was them, and it was a big deal. So it's not total nonsense he'd be there. Still, he is pretty firmly a has-been at this point, and gross practices like their infamously bad original artist contracts have left their mark, so I'm not surprised people would be less than thrilled.
