One of the things I've come to like about Takahata about finding out more about him was that he was so easygoing and carefree. That unlike Miyazaki who can be a bit too rigid in his ways and over-opinionated about the anime medium and what it should or shouldn't be, Takahata just did whatever he liked with it and if others liked it too then it was a win all around.
