My guess is Akakiri is the story that's getting expanded upon in the Ronin novel.

I think you got the wrong forum. This is for the Case Study of Vanitas.

All of the discussion for Aniplex Online Fest and Anime Expo Lite are sharing a forum. Sorry for the confusion!

I have been having trouble with this thought, is it really Madoka without the writer, Gen Urobuchi?

Are you talking about the upcoming movie? Because Gen Urobuchi is working on it. Personally I enjoy the spin offs and even though Gen Urobuchi doesn't work on them they still feel like Madoka to me.

The trio of main characters is rounded out by Miyu Irino, who voices the Oni, Yasha. Irino is an accomplished talent as well: most notable for anime fans as Haku in Spirited Away. She's also the voice of Sora from the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Not sure if this is the right thread for this (I guess all the AX stuff is one thread?) but while his name is misleading in romaji, Miyu Irino is a man. I did stop and fact-check in case I missed something recent, though.

" but the premiere episode will not be available until October on VRV's HIDIVE."

VRV's HIDIVE? Didn't think HIDIVE was owned by VRV, I just thought VRV carried HIDIVE as a channel.
