Sounds like they're gearing up for Red Alchemist & the White Guardian promotion. It's a shame that the global version is shutting down, but I'm glad the Japanese version is a steady earner because there's some really fun stories here

By Atelier standards the story on this game is pretty good actually including the side events which features legacy characters as it makes references to those characters' home games. The legacy characters also play a role in the plot and each chapter features different legacy characters so a lot of them get their chance to shine with previously featured characters also returning. The only thing that really brought it down was the fact that its a gacha game with microtransactions and the lack of exploration which is what Atelier games are known for
