May SE's NFT schemes fail long term.

They're still pushing this nonsense in 2025? No one cares anymore. It's over.

The best time to cancel it was when it was being pitched, the 8th best time is now but I guess they're not killing it yet and would rather go down with the ship. Is it even a ship though? Looks like one of those easily sinkable rafts to me

Whenever one of these things is announced, there's always at least one weird shill in the comments section claiming to be legitimately interested in the work and begging other people to give it a chance. I think it will be an interesting experiment to see if such a person shows up now, upon one's cancellation, because convincing people it's a legitimate work no longer results in monetary gain for them.

I honestly forgot this was even a thing, hopefully Square Enix will get the hint and not bother with NFTs anymore but that might be asking for too much.

Square is the master at making terrible financial decisions and narrowly avoiding bankruptcy so probably not.

People made a big deal out of SE's 2024 profits being down massively after 2023... but that's ignoring a lot of context, because 2022 and 2023 were by far the most profitable years they've ever had, and 2024 was only slightly below average relative to previous years. They've only had two unprofitable years since the actual merger between Square and Enix.

Or maybe someone was legitimately interested in the work those threads you mentioned. Assuming people are shills for liking something is such a shitty attitude.

I refuse to defend my words to someone who is going to disingenuously back-and-forth about them forever and ever.

NFTs actively encourage being a shill, though.

Despite the hate this game lasted longer than Final Fanasty VII: The First Soldie and some other Square-Enix's mobile titles Laughing
