Enoki said that for a certain scene where Sukuna is messing up everything and suddenly jpop plays like an Evangelion movie, he had problems imitating Yuji's panic attack as he cries and throws up. Enoki ended up crying while imitating Yuji. The one that feels like removed because the writer wanted to a dark story as quickly as possible feels Gojo as the series kept having him show off enough that he could have easily killed all the Shibuya curses had he been not sealed by Not Geto. It really feels like Gojo's youth is the selling point of season 2 considering how Mappa is retelling it as a movie.

That is my interpretation of season 2 part 2. Since the big bad of the season turns out to be an entirely different bad guy then the one we got to know from the movie and season 2 part 1. (and was never elaborated on in season 1). It feels like the main purpose of the season was to tell the audience through Yuji that the themes of Season 1 and Gojo's aims in the world where pointless, instead the world of JJK is cursing and things going wrong. Where all curse users end up dead or becoming a burden on the world.
