I was super happy when there was an ANN staff report on his panel. What a wonderful surprise to get an additional interview as well. Thank you so much!
When I started the series (after seeing it listed as a nominee for the American Manga Awards), I was happily surprised with how reality-based the story was. Obviously we don't really live with dinosaurs, but the detail Kinoshita-san puts in to the day to day realities that zoos face, both positive and negative, and how dinosaurs would fit into that, is wonderful. The stories don't always end happily, but they aren't melodramatic to make a point. They are realistic, which in my opinion, makes the happy moments even more heartfelt.
Even though I can guess what sad (and fun) things future volumes may bring, I eagerly await them. And the tears that will come with them.
