I'm honestly pretty shocked this is free and they're allowing Switch 1 owners to do it. Modern Nintendo feels like they'd have the extra islands, multiplayer stuff, and Hotel be some Switch 2-exclusive upgrade you have to pay into.

I expected a Switch 2 port to happen eventually, but getting a new content update on top of it for both systems was a complete and most welcomed surprise! I haven't touched my game in probably two years, but I might actually pick it up again after this drops to experience the new stuff.
