| Quote: | | Pre-orders will begin on November 12. Mattel shared in an Instagram post an image of the three characters sporting their "Golden" outfits, weapons, and, in Rumi's case, demon patterns. |
"What It Sounds Like" costumes, not their "Golden" costumes which have black jackets. The set is even called the "HUNTR/X Rumi, Mira, Zoey “What It Sounds Like” 3-Pack".
$150 for the set. I guess I have a day to think about this...

I usually take a pass on these sorts of things, but they actually look very good/accurate. Dammit, I might need to get a set at some point....

I do hope they'll be making cheaper dolls that can be bought seperately. I have two separate family members who work with kids (first and second graders), and they've both said KPDH is Frozen levels of popular at their schools. I know a lot of fans are adults, but I figured Mattel would be tapping into the kid market first, especially for the holiday season.

I hope other toy companies can get the rights to KPOP Demon Hunters figure merchandise. I'm looking at you threezero.

Right now it’s a dual license between Mattel and Hasbro.

Merch wouldn't be in time for this holiday season - these things usually take around 12-18 months from concept to store shelves
When merch labels were approached to make KPDH merchandise last year, they were lukewarm at the prospect of the movie becoming a hit - that's why they didn't make merch beforehand
It's lucky that some official stuff made it to Halloween this year - it dominated the most requested costumes including all Top 5 (so people had to turn to "unofficial" stuff)

The only company that will have KPDH figures for the holidays is Funko who put their Pop figures on a super accelerated production to achieve that.
I'm positive Mattel will have dolls available for mass retail next year, these were exclusive to their Mattel Creations adult collectible site. I don't know when they sold out (I was sleeping) but they did sell out the same day.
And yes, I caved, I ordered at 12:01 PM.
