Hello again, ANN Community!
It’s that time again when we reflect on the incredible anime series, OST, and characters that came out this year. Much like last year, we ranked the best of the best from the leading woman to the most underrated anime series to come up with the ultimate list for 2025. However unlike last year, we thought of adding three new categories -- for a total of nine categories! We are excited to hear your thoughts and so... let's get started! 
Category 1 Leading Woman of the Year Last year, the leading female winner of the first ANN Readers' Choice Awards was Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries, and it's no surprise she captured the community's hearts! She is cute, intelligent, and clever. This year, we want to hear from you once more! Who will be this year's leading woman? Will Momo Ayase from DAN DA DAN win the Readers' Choice Awards this time, or will Maomao claim victory once more? Or could there be a new queen on the horizon? Let's find out! Nominate your choice now! Instructions 1. Each person may nominate one main leading woman character only. 2. The nominated character must be from an anime series that aired this year. 3. To submit your entry, please use the following format for the first line of your post: Name of Character from Anime Title (bold, italicized, and underlined). You may add additional comments on why you are nominating her in your post. 4. If you wish to change your nomination, you are free to do so during the nomination period. To update your nomination, please edit your original post. Further nomination posts after your initial post will not be counted. 5. Since Maomao had her turn last year, I'll second Scarlet from May I Ask For One Final Thing?. She's stormed onto the seen like few other characters have in recent memory.
