Ngl feels weird that you didn't mention this game has extensive use of generative AI. Particularly in the way they upscaled things, it completely made up details and resulted in a ton of nonsense. I feel like as a news website you're obligated to inform your viewers of such things.

Seconded. Kinda have a duty to inform people of how egregious this port is.

Just one of thousands of examples of AI gen abuse in this game.

AI upscaling is common in most remasters both video games and old films and television.

Whatever they are doing is not simply the typical upscaling, we have multiple examples of the image radically changing (and always for the worse)
Anyways, there are enough examples of Forever Entertainment being terrible and releasing terrible products by now that people should know to avoid them, which is partially on articles like this to inform people

This is just a release announcement, so I wouldn't expect to see any mention of the content of the game (AI, framerate, bugs etc).
Perhaps if they had done a big article about it earlier and wanted to reference it, then maybe? But this isn't a gaming site, so outside of an article specifically about the content, in a preview or review, I don't think it's surprising that that kind of thing isn't mentioned.
Now that the PS1 titles are done, I wonder if they plan to move on to the PS2 titles

I’d agree with you if this was just a release announcement, but it’s not — it goes out of its way to provide additional context about the game. Like any article that’s gonna go deep enough to remind us all that Left Alive is a thing that both existed and was tangentially related to Front Mission is something that could (and arguably should) go deep enough to remind us about the horrid genAI use.
And I do say “remind” deliberately here, because I’m confident every FM fan is already well-aware of the FM3 debacle. Especially after how the FM2 remake nosedived so hard woth its poorly-edited MTL script.

If it doesn't affect the gameplay then who cares about the visual difference? ....At least that's what people always say when folks complain about visual changes in a remaster. I guess with the anti AI bandwagon being more common now than back when, say, Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers Edition came out back in 2022 more people are willing to be critical about visual changes now without being labeled as nitpicky or whiny or dismissed outright. Even if it's just on principal of being more vocally anti-AI now
As usual, the original always exits to be played and is generally the better way to experience games. And in some cases like Chrono Cross the fan-made AI upscale of Chrono Cross is better than the official one.

I think that mentioning other games in the series isn't really going out of the way and pretty common when talking about games released later in the series.
In fact, if you click on the link in the article for the similar pc and other console releases for the second game (that's the only one I checked out of curiosity), you'll find the exact same 3 paragraphs at the end of the article, including the Left Alive tidbit (well, nearly exact, released was changed to launched in the second paragraph).
This just seems like a pretty boiler plate announcement article to me.
