While it is true that Kei Natsumi illustrated the Higurashi Rei (Reiwa) spinoff manga, I feel like her artwork is more famous for being the main illustrator of the Umineko When They Cry manga adaptation, where she adapted the 1st, 3rd, and 8th arcs. (Totaling 18 volumes across all three, compared to the 6 volumes she drew for her two Higurashi Rei arcs.)
Anyway, it's cool to see her starting up a new manga project!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. She didn't do a lot of Higurashi compared to Umineko... But maybe Higurashi is more of a drawcard since it's more well known...
