My brother is architech and is designing a house for a Ghibli fan, he literally said there is a movie with a window between the kitchen and the dining room to pass food and he wants that.
Any idea of wich one is so my brother can copy it?

When I posed your question to google, it popped up several references to Arrietty. It's been years since I've seen the film so I have no idea if it's the one, but might be a good place to start.
